This precious girl is Katie! For those of you who like a gentle giant(ess), she could be your girl! After several rounds of mummy duties, she is ready to find a home all of her own.
Katie is a sensitive soul, with a shyness that comes from her lack of exposure to new people. This is something we are actively working on, introducing Katie to our volunteers so she is learning that new people are just great! She is making progress already, and showing everyone she meets that underneath that worry she is a loving and soppy pooch with a heart as big as her size.
Katie loves to get out and about, especially if it means meeting doggie friend old or new. She can get a little excited, which means she can be a bit strong on the lead. It is essential for her new owners to be able to cope with her size and strength, but also to have the experience to teach her to take things a little more quietly.
She’s looking for a quiet adult-only home, somewhere peaceful where she can doze off without younger people disturbing her slumber. She needs the experienced hands of someone who knows their way around a big breed like hers, and/or those with rescue dog experience who understands that every new day is a learning curve, a step towards the beautiful bond that can grow.
We are looking for a well suited doggy pal to help show Nina the ropes and help with her confidence!
