Information

Imagine coming home to a bubbly, spirited little fellow whose tail wags like a metronome at the sight of you. That's Jack, a 12-month-old Jack Russell Terrier cross who might just have a dash of Dachshund in him, judging by his exuberant energy and sleek silhouette. He's on the lookout for a special someone who 'gets' him – someone who's had the joy of small breeds before and understands the lively quirks of Jack Russells. Jack's the full package: he's keenly playful yet has all the makings of a great companion for someone with the know-how to channel his zest for life into fun, rewarding experiences.

Now, Jack’s a small boy with a larger-than-life personality, a right little firecracker who needs a home that's up to the task of keeping his clever mind and agile body ticking over nicely. He hasn't had much of a taste of the big wide world yet, so he's itching to get out there and explore – which he does with an endearing mix of excitement and a little bit of 'what's all this then?'. And bless him, he's ace in the car, happily tagging along for adventures as long as they're on the quiet side, giving him a chance to build his confidence and social finesse.

What’s more, our mate Jack would be over the moon with a patch of garden to romp in – it’s his idea of paradise, and honestly, isn't it just the cutest thing picturing him bounding around with his favourite toys? Since he's a tad unsure about coming back when called (who'd want to stop having fun, ey?), a safe and secure garden is also the perfect stage for practising recall until he’s a pro. And yes, he's a bit chatty on the lead and when he spots other dogs, but that's all in the name of fun and should get better with a bit of guidance.

Last but not least, having a human around most of the day would be the bee's knees for Jack, someone to build up his courage bit by bit about being on his own sometimes. It’s tough when you’ve got a heart as big as his and just want to be part of everything. Plus, he’s got this little knee quirk, a luxating patella, which doesn’t trouble him now, but it’s something an understanding owner would need to keep an eye on.

So, if you've got the time, the experience, and a heart ready for a boisterous bundle of love, why not consider adding Jack to your life? He promises an abundance of zest, loyalty, and laughter wrapped up in a wee, waggy-tailed package. Let Jack be your enthusiastic sidekick, and he’ll show you every day just how grand life can be with a little bit of Jack magic!
