Texas is in our care for a second time through a change of circumstances. If you are a first or second time dog owner, or simply admire her breed and are looking for a laid back dog, then Texas is the dog for you. She is calm and laid back on her walks, she walks nicely on the lead and doesn’t pull. She will probably not be able to be let off the lead as she was once a stray. Texas would love a garden where she can play her favorite game of frisbee! Or even the opportunity of a run around in a hired enclosed field. Around the home, Texas is calm and likes to relax, but can 'talk' to you when she gets excited! She is very loving and affectionate with people and she will nudge your hand for a stroke or two! We feel she would suit living with children around 10 years old and older. She has had frequent contact with children and is affectionate with them. Around cats, her natural instincts to chase can appear, so she is not suited to living with a cat. She is in good health, and had a recent dental, she does need to continue to loose some weight in her new home. Texas is well behaved at the vets and having a brush or her nails clipped doesn’t faze her.
