Charlie arrived into our care after his owners were unable to meet his needs, he was underweight and had to have a his coat remove as his fur was very matted.

He is currently in a foster home where he settled in very quickly. It took him a few days to pick up toilet training so this will need to be addressed going into a new home. He is currently living with two other dogs where he loves to sleep and relax with them, he does enjoy their company so is looking to live with another calm older dog. Charlie is also well socialized with cats so can live with cats that are used to dogs.

Charlie’s perfect home is somewhere quiet and not overly active. He enjoys a quiet life and is a slow paced boy. He would suit someone looking for companionship around the home and enjoys short walks. On walks, he is good on the lead and isn’t strong, he will meet and greet new dogs positively. As he prefers a quiet home, Charlie is more comfortable with older children, he would be okay to live with children around 14 years old. He isn’t used to being left on his own for long periods and does crave human company.

Being in a foster home we have found out that he will he need some training overnight with separation anxiety. He has started crate training in the foster home which can help with training and his anxiety.
