Buddy is a super senior dog who is looking for a loving retirement home. His legs are not quite what they used to be, and he can only manage short walks, walking on pavements can cause him discomfort - he is on some medication to help with his joints and any pain, so we recommend new owners continue this to keep Buddy pain free and comfortable. In the home he will need his exercise restricted, we are looking for a home with a large garden where he can explore at his own space and continue to use his legs, keeping up his strength. However he will not be able to go out on long walks.
Buddy is friendly with new people he meets, he is very affectionate and loves to lay down and roll over having his belly rubbed, he also enjoys being brushed too, as you can see in his video
Buddy has a couple of dog friends but is picky and prefers his own space, so he is looking to be the only dog in the home - he cannot live with cats either. Buddy would be good with children around 8 years old. Over the past year Buddy has lived in an outside kennel, but we feel he is such an easy going an calm boy he will have not issues settling into a new home.
